Kyle is a NRHA Professional, training out of Cranbrook BC. His program has been proven successful in NRHA Open, Non Pro & Youth competitions.
Kyle has won the Open NRHA Affiliate Finals in Oklahoma City. He has had two youth students win the NRHA Affiliate Championship in Oklahoma City as well as his assistant too won the Limited Open NRHA Affiliate Championships two years in a row. In 2018 he won the Spring Classic four year old and the Silver Slate four year old open derbies.
Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has a positive teaching style enabling him to help riders in all disciplines. His main focus is western; however, trust us when we say he'll help our English riders too. We are very lucky to have him return.

Windsum is excited to offer a Dressage Clinic with Andrea Taylor prior to the Windsum Winter Series Dressage Shows in February and March!
Andrea is an NCCP Level 3 Dressage Coach, EC High Performance Coach and former Canadian Paralympic Coach.
She will be offering lessons Friday and Saturday. She will also be available to those riders in the clinic who have signed up for the show to coach them on Sunday before their test(s). She will go over their test(s), provide feedback and give ‘homework’. Andrea welcomes each riders personal coach(es) too. It takes a team!
Friday is lessons only. Saturday will be lessons and then an afternoon demonstration. Andrea will ride her own horse Demarko (who is schooling PSG) while wearing the headset so you can hear her explain what she is working on. Questions welcome :-)
A warm lunch and a stall are included in the price on lesson days. So you are able to watch other lessons. Auditors are also welcome.
Make the most of the weekend! Come Friday, Saturday and show on Sunday! Or just pick one of the days and get some feedback on how you can more effectively work with your horse.
Space is limited so please sign up early! Registration is due 13th of each month, the same date as the show entries.

I am hoping to do this in the spring. If you are interested please let me know. If there isn't any/enough interest it won't be offered.
The last couple of our Summer Classic Shows had a good number of Western Dressage entries so I am optimistic that we will be able to hold an all western day soon. This could be in the form of a show or a clinic. I was thinking of adding another event to the day to make it a full day. The event would include Western Dressage and possibly one of the following:
- Ranch Riding
- Trail
- Showmanship at Halter
If you have other suggestions for a Western event please forward them along with your ideas, comments and feedback.

October 4, 2014 – (Saturday) - Western Dressage Clinic/Workshop: Let’s learn together about Western Dressage (WD)
It is open to all breeds. Western Dressage horses are working horses however; big suspended gaits are not to be favored but neither is the jog nor lope seen in many Western Pleasure classes. They demonstrate free flowing, comfortable strides, with gaits that are free, regular in rhythm, and consistent in tempo and enhance the natural gaits of that breed of horse. The horse must move naturally and happily in a manner consistent with its breed. (Summarized from the Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA) judges guidelines)

As many of you know Windsum Enterprises Ltd hosts a series of four dressage shows over the summer. They are fun and low key for the exhibitors, and are becoming quite popular. In order for Windsum to offer some better awards (the exhibitors love prizes) without having to increase the cost of the show to the exhibitors we are asking for sponsorship to help cover the cost of the ribbons and prizes. Courtenay is home again!
Courtenay and Lukas had a very successful trip south competing at CDI's. Her trip enabled her to include several weeks of invaluable training with Olympian Sue Blinks.
She is now back and gearing up for the North West Show Season. Accepting new clients here at Windsum for boarding or haul-in, lessons or a training program. Come join our friendly team. Whether you want join the Highbury team competing or just improve your performance you are welcome here at Windsum.
